Dr. Bloom's Allergy, Ear & Skin Care

Allergy, Skin and Ear Clinic for Pets is a specialty hospital established in 1987 to help animals with skin, ear or nail diseases. There are many skin diseases that affect dogs and cats, including allergies, ear disease, nail disease, hormonal imbalances, bacterial, fungal and parasitic diseases. These diseases may have many of the same clinical signs with only slight differences. As a dermatology specialty clinic, we are trained and equipped to detect these differences and pursue a logical diagnostic and treatment plan. We pride ourselves in maintaining an educated staff that is highly trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of dermatology.

American College of Veterinary Dermatology

The American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) is a group of individuals who are each a Board Certified Veterinary Dermatologist®.These veterinarians have expertise and specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of animals with benign and malignant disorders of the skin, hair, ears and nails. The ACVD is the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA)-recognized veterinary specialty organization™ for certification of veterinary dermatology. The ACVD undergoes a comprehensive evaluation by the American Board of Veterinary Specialties (ABVS), a commitee of the AVMA, every 3 years to ensure the required standards are maintained for the ACVD certification process.
